“Hold back” sees a beautiful evolution in KILLSWSH style, drawing deeper influences from Alternative, Electronic R&B, House music and Vintage Electro-pop

As the duo worked on the first two tracks of the EP “Think Of You” and “Want To Be” from the EP, something felt familiar to them and touched home. “I would even go as far as saying the track 'Think of you' shaped us as a duo that we are today, purely based on the songwriting and the production we managed to pull together for that track.” says Bangzy, who turned to more upbeat tempos and dance oriented drums for the soundscape of their new EP, “Hold Back”.

The final track, “Hold Back” is one of their special hidden gems that Bangzy had made after binge listening to Kaytranada for days. It is definitely a homage to him and his style. It came about quite quickly and was going to be an instrumental till the genius Gabe, figured out melodies for it. After which they worked their way structuring the track, making it one of their most different sounding tracks.

The third track of the EP, “Feels So Good” is a one take wonder from Gabrielle! The beat is minimalistic and the production on this track has an organic feel that was as carved out after paying meticulous attention to detail!

Dubai Formed duo Mujtaba Saeed "Bangzy'' and Gabriel Newcombe "Adeus'' are known as KILLSWSH (pronounced ‘killswish’), producers of alternative R&B & moody electropop with shades of post rock. The two met while attending studio sessions hosted by mutual friends. In late 2016 they formed KILLSWSH.
